The Lansing Boys and Girls Indoor Track teams competed at the Finger Lakes Invitational at Cornell's Barton Hall this past Saturday, January 15th. Junior Max Rogan set a new school record in the pole vault with a jump of 13' 3". The previous record was held by Jeremy Petak for almost 4 years.Senior Sean Cheatham placed 3rd in the boy's triple jump with a mark of 39' 5". To date this is his best performance of the season.
On the girl's side, Junior Blair Wigsten had 2 top 6 finishes. Wigsten placed 6th in the 1000m run with a time of 3:17.65 and came back with a 4th place finish in the 1500m with a time of 5:12.22. Both times were personal bests for the season.
The 8th, 9th and 10th grade indoor track athletes will have an Age Group meet this coming Saturday at Cortland State.
